
LINDA
LAVELLE began her 35 year career in aesthetics in the early 1970s.
During that time, she studied under the most renown names in cosmetics
and skin care worldwide, including Christine Valmy of New York,
Marvin Westmore in California, Joel Gerson “Master of Skin
Care Education”, Martin Jans in Holland, and Jean D’Estrees
of Paris, France.
Linda
holds dozens of certifications in all areas of cosmetics, skin
care, and hair care. Most recently, she earned her Diploma in
Beauty Specialty from the International Therapy Examination Council
(ITEC). Recognized worldwide in 19 countries, ITEC is the largest
international examination board offering the highest professional
esthetic diplomas possible. She is one of a handful of aesthetists
in the state of Florida who is board certified and has been awarded
ITEC accreditation.
Linda
has worked as a make-up artist and skin care technician for Syd
Simons Salon & Studio and Playboy International prior to opening
Linda LaVelle’s Spa d’Esthetiques in 1983. The spa
was recognized as “Day Spa of the Year for the Treasure
Coast” in 2004 and Linda was named the 2004 “Republican
Business Woman of the Year” for the state of Florida.
While
running her very successful spa in Stuart, Florida, Linda continues
her education to address the skin care needs in the medical community.
Working in conjunction with physicians, Linda provides pre and
post operative skin care for plastic surgery patients with special
chemical peels and Microdermabrasion, as well as facial lymphatic
and esthetic drainage.
Just
the Facts Ma’am, is Linda’s First Book. Through it,
she hopes to continue her work helping women t live life the fullest
and enjoy the skin they’re in.
